If you are a customer at a partner store it may be possible for your Unveil It stylist to meet you at the partner location when your gown arrives. We recommend that you have your gown prior to purchasing your veil, but it is possible to try on samples. There is a $55 stylist fee, which is credited to the purchase of any veil or headpiece. If you have purchased your veil, there is no charge.

Our stylists will meet you to hear your vision for a new veil. Whether you are starting from scratch or repurposing a family treasure, we want to bring your vision to life. Let's sit down over coffee and get to work. We recommend that you purchase your gown before starting the veil design, but if you have not, please come prepared with your list of "must haves" or hopes. There is a $110 deposit due at the time your order is placed, 50% of this is due at the time of booking your appointment. For instance, consider a person trafficked for sex. Instead of being recognized as victims, they may face prostitution charges. Traffickers also impose drug addiction on their victims as a means of control. When arrested for prostitution, it is not unusual for them to be found under the influence or to have illicit substances in their possession, leading to drug possession charges. This misidentification as offenders rather than victims significantly hinders their ability to seek help or obtain proper support. Challenges in Identifying Forced Criminality Forced criminality presents numerous challenges for authorities, law enforcement, and even the public in terms of identification and intervention. Survivors often fear law enforcement, as they may believe they will be treated as criminals rather than as victims. This situation is exacerbated by traffickers who frequently create environments that prevent victims from seeking help, further isolating them from available support systems. This can only be achieved if we are deliberate in creating environments where survivors are not further victimized by the criminal justice system. Cultivating trust, protecting their privacy, and ensuring their safety are crucial to the success of investigations and support the healing and reintegration process. Public Awareness and Advocacy : It’s not solely the responsibility of professionals to instigate change; everyday citizens can also play a vital role. By learning the signs of trafficking and remaining vigilant in identifying potential cases, we can help prevent further exploitation. In the absence of consistent laws, such as vacatur legislation, victims and survivors are pushed into the shadows, unable to access adequate employment or secure housing. This situation also increases the likelihood of revictimization. Vacatur laws enable survivors to have their criminal records expunged, allowing them to move forward with their lives without the burden of past offenses hindering them. Legal Protections for Survivors: Strengthening legal protection for survivors of trafficking is essential. This includes measures to prevent the criminalization of victims forced into illegal activities and ensuring they have access to the necessary support to rebuild their lives. The Founder’s Story: Elizabeth’s Heart for Change The journey of  Unveil It Bridal Veils  began with an unexpected encounter—a meeting that would profoundly shift Elizabeth’s understanding of sex trafficking. Elizabeth, the founder, had spent years, as an advocate, helping women rebuild their lives through life coaching and mentorship, but it wasn’t until she met “G,” a young woman who arrived at Elizabeth's office with her client, that her eyes were opened to the brutal reality that traffickers could be women, who were mothers, and those mothers could traffic their children's friends. G was brought to see Elizabeth after she fled. G found herself in a difficult situation as a teenager, she sought refuge with a friend and her mother. She had known them since she was a little girl and trusted them. At first, it seemed like a safe haven—a place of warmth and protection. But soon, the situation took a horrifying turn. The woman who had taken G in turned on her. After her daughter went off to college, this woman began trafficking G. What had initially seemed like a sanctuary quickly became a nightmare. Elizabeth was devastated when she learned that someone whom G had trusted—the very person who had opened her home to the girl—had exploited her. It was a betrayal that left Elizabeth horrified and grieving. Instead of turning away, Elizabeth chose to stand by G. She became a support system, offering life coaching, emotional care, and vital resources as G worked to rebuild her life. Over time, Elizabeth's compassion for G, and for all trafficking victims, grew into a broader commitment to stand against this evil, and she began giving to organizations who were on the frontlines in the cause. Elizabeth has since sat face-to-face with many survivors, offering them guidance, hope, and healing. Through her involvement with organizations like, Compassion Washington, and prior financial support to other anti-trafficking organizations, Elizabeth has worked indirectly to make a difference.
